The original Dunrovin Plantation of Aiken, SC, was established in 1991 by Richard and Lynette McDuffie.  After Richard, a founding director of the McCurdy Plantation Horse Registry and Association, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2006, Rick and his mother, Lynette, made the choice to keep the family herd intact.

Richard, Sr. and Rick have not only been father and son, but good friends, colleagues, and "horse buddies" all these years- and Rick is determined to carry on the breeding and promoting of the McCurdy Plantation Horse here in the Carolinas.

As before, the core of the McDuffie program will be Doctor Coppertone F12 and the McDuffies will be offering "Doc" at stud to a select group of mares.  It is Rick's intention to also make Doc available at his old home in Aiken periodically, for South Carolina and Georgia folks who may want to breed mares to him.
